If Aberdeen’s title hopes hadn’t ended before Saturday they had by 5pm on April 4th as a nil-nil draw with Partick wasn’t really enough…. A win almost certainly wouldn’t have been enough anyway with Celtic away, and pretty much clear.

This draw at Pittodrie wasn’t the way we wanted to return from the international break at all though was it.

Arguably the best chances fell to Patrick with Taylor, who had a couple of chances when clean through, missing the best of them having come on in the second half.

This game brought a first start for goalscoring Development Squad player Shankland, who also marked his Scotland U21 debut with a couple of goals in the international break, and he went very close for us a couple of times in the first half.

Craigen almost won it for Partick at the end but as he broke away his effort was turned over by Langfield with the game ending goalless.
