Long-serving ‘keeper Jamie Langfield, who finds himself third choice these days behind Liverpool loanee Danny Ward and Scot Brown, could be heading towards an Aberdeen exit?

The 35-year-old has his testimonial against Brighton on Sunday but this could be one of his final acts as a Dons player with reports linking him to both St Mirren and Dunfermline.

It’ll be sad if Langfield does move on but given his service I don’t think that anyone would begrudge him moving away from Pittodrie if it gives him the chance to get some regular first-team football, which isn’t too likely with us is it?

As far as arrivals go our apparent interest in Arbroath man Mark Whatley has ‘cooled’ as he isn’t getting another trial period, having already had a couple of trials.

With that in mind it seems Derek McInnes’ interest in the 24-year-old midfielder is over?
