According to the Scottish Sun, the man who scored a cracking goal for his team Falkirk against the Dons recently and then a second half hat-trick in the 5-1 Tannadice demolition has had signing talks with Aberdeen.

he 6′ ex-Clydebank and Airdrie striker is also on the new year wish list of Hibernian with Rangers, Celtic and Wolves also interested.

ore as it develops!

What has definitely transpired at Pittodrie is that Jimmy Calderwood has banned his players from coming to the club for 48 hours incase there are further outbreaks of the flu virus that has ripped through his team.

ight of his squad have been affected and five of those had to perform against Hibs whilst obviously still suffering.

Aberdeen’s next match is the home Scottish Cup tie against Hibs again and Jimmy needs all his players on peak fitness if they are to progress.

He commented ‘The best way to make sure this doesn’t spread any further is to reduce the amount of contact the players have with each other. Those who are ill have been ordered to rest in bed and the others will benefit from the break as well. We will return to work tomorrow which still gives us ample time to prepare for the cup tie.

‘It was a remarkable effort on Tuesday considering how ill and weakened many of the players were.

‘It was particularly tough for Chris Clark, Scott Severin and Gary Dempsey. None of them were really fit to play but they gave it their all because it was such an important game.

Please leave your comments on this below and if you think Alan Gow would be a good addition to the team.
