Aberdeen are lining-up a January move for Rangers midfielder Gavin Rae, according to reports.
Scotland international Rae, 28, has fallen out of Paul Le Guen’s plans – although Rangers’ 1-0 home loss to Inverness Caley Thistle at the weekend suggests there might not be any plans at Ibrox – and was targeted by Aberdeen in January.
However, Rae declined a loan move as he decided to fight for his place at Rangers. He played three times early this season before dropping out of the first-team picture.
The Daily Record claim that ‘…the Dons will make a second bid for the player who will have to take a pay cut to join his hometown team.’
