Celtic won the title, which they almost certainly would have anyway, last Saturday when we lost to Dundee United meaning that as much as we wanted to we couldn’t extend it into this game.

Ideally we can end, what has been a successful season anyway, battle with the Champions at Pittodrie on Sunday with a win.

Barry Robson (suspension) returns following his recent sending off so he could come back into the starting XI as could Nicky Low (thigh strain) now that he’s fit once again.

Club captain Russell Anderson, and Aberdeen legend, announced his retirement this week after injury ruined his season. It’s expected that he could play a part in a game before the season is out but it’s not likely it’ll be this one.

Celtic come into this with no ‘fresh injury worries’ to contend with. Charlie Mulgrew (hamstring) is close to a return but it isn’t going to come here with Mikael Lustig (ankle) also sitting out again.

It’s likely that Celtic will do some squad rotation but even so they’ll still feel they’ll have enough about them to win, whereas we’ll be hoping for that, as said, end of season boost against them. But can we manage this?
