Aberdeen host Dundee United this weekend knowing three points will take them above United in the table…
Jimmy Calderwood spoke to Red Tv:
‘Saturday’s game is massive for us and if we beat United we go ahead of them in the league and the puts us in a good position as they face Hearts next week. I think United would be more happy with a point from the game than we would be and we will be going all out to get all the points’
He also dubiously added that ‘United will be taking up a big crowd’ and added ‘it will be a great atmosphere and it could be heading for 15 or 16 thousand and that always makes the difference’
News paper reports saying Zander Diamond would be out for a year were proved to be complete fiction, as the central defender has trained today and will face United at the weekend. Darren Mackie is also fit. Which leaves only 3 players out: Gary McDonald, Andrew Considine and Jamie Smith.
Has now settled in well and performances of late have earned Kerr much praise. A big performance will be required from him on Saturday if the dons are to take full points against his former club.
to follow.
Kerr’s opposite number has been one of United’s top performer’s this season, since his move from Dundee. An intersting midfield battle is gauranteed
