Aberdeen look to advance into the last 8 of the Scottish cup tonight when they host 2nd division East Fife.

Vital Quotes:

Jimmy Calderwood told the BBC:
‘Because of the injuries we’ve got it’s been difficult in training to work on how we want to play, so it’s very frustrating.

‘East Fife have got nothing whatsoever to lose, and we’ve got everything to lose.

‘They were Third Division champions last season, so they know what it’s like to have success.

‘We lost to Queen’s Park on penalties, and the defeat to Queen of the South in the semi-finals last season is still fresh in our minds.

Aberdeen Team News:

Zander Diamond, Gary McDoanld, Darren Mackie, Andrew Considine and Jamie Smith are all out and are likely to miss Saturday’s trip to Dundee United.

Player to watch: Chirs Maguire

With Mackie injured it is likely Maguire will get a rare chance to start. It will be intersting to see if he can cause the East Fife defence problems.

East Fife Team News:

Kevin Fitheringham is the only player missing. He is currently nearing the end of his hefty 8 match ban.

Player to watch: Stevie Crawford

Played under Calderwood at Dunfermline and of course, Aberdeen. The veteran Striker will be looking to get himself on the scoresheet tonight.
