Among the clubs reportedly showing and interest in wantaway Hibs midfielder are Aberdeen with reports this week claiming, prior to his transfer request being made, an offer had been made.

Rangers are trying to sign Hibernian’s former Dundee United and West Brom man Allan, who had loans with Portsmouth, MK Dons and Birmingham during his time in England, are the Dons too?

Claims were made that an offer of £250,000 had gone in for the 23-year-old, which is more than Rangers had made in the two offers turned down, but quotes by the Press & Journal Derek McInnes had made have ‘rubbished reports’ we want to bring him to Pittodrie.

‘Scott Allan is not a player that we are pursuing.’

Not a lot said but the Scottish Championship PFA Player of the Year last season isn’t coming to Aberdeen then is he?

By all accounts, having handed in his transfer request on Monday, he isn’t going to Ibrox either as Hibs have stressed to the level I’ve not seen in a while he’ll not be sold to Rangers!
