It’s being reported that former Heart of Midlothian winger Andrew Driver is now training with Aberdeen.

The 27 year old has been club less since leaving MLS side Houston Dynamo in November, and it’s said he trained with Aberdeen for the first time on Friday.

The arrangement isn’t specifically a trial in the normal sense as it’s said it was initiated by his agent in order to keep the player fit but it’s said that manager Derek McInnes would not deny that it’s possible we may offer the player a deal over the coming week, praising his talent and attitude – but I can’t find any direct quotes.

Having come through the Hearts youth system, he made more than 150 appearances for them before making the move to America on a loan deal that then became permanent.

We shall have to wait and see.
