This has been a particularly bad week for me thus no column, last week but I have returned to try and do my best to keep you updated with all things Aberdeen.

The Dons have had an up and down type of week losing to CIS Cup Finalist’s Dunfermline to a Mark Burchill goal last week but bouncing back this week with a great 3-0 win over Livingston at Pittodrie with goals from Anderson,Lovell and a first goal from Dutchman Ferne Snoyl to get the dandy Dons back to winning ways.

Maybe they had been watching the documentry on the Friday night,That Was The Team That Was,featuring the Dons team of 1983 !

Did any of you Dons fans watch it ?
If you did be sure to e-mail your views and thoughts to me and I will share my thoughts with you.

How long do you think it will be before we see the Dons getting back amongst the trophies ? This years Scottish Cup would have been the best chance of a trophy but they were beaten by Hearts who now face Hibs in the semi-final,the Dons have beaten both Edinburgh sides this season!

Scottish football again has lost one of it’s truly great character’s this week when ex-Celtic and Scotland legend,Jimmy Johnstone, the wee man who played football with a smile on his face lost his battle against Motor Neurone Disease.

Jinky was one of the true greats of the Scottish game and will be sadly missed.
My thoughts go out to Agnes and the family and I hope that Scottish football will give the wee man a lasting tribute for all the great memories he gave the fans.

God Bless You Jinky-King of the Jungle and a true entertainer !
