We secured an 11th win in 13 Premiership games on Saturday, with a three-nil win over St Mirren, to draw level at the top of the table with Celtic but they responded today against Hamilton.

For almost an hour Hamilton held Celtic, and looked to be doing us a favour, but four goals in the final 33-minutes saw Celtic through to a four-nil win in the end to see them extend a three-point lead at the top again, with them still having a game in hand of course.

It was a game that Aberdeen had to win next Sunday at Celtic Park but this win makes it all the more important that we manage this and will then be hoping that St Johnstone will be able to do us a favour on the Wednesday to follow, when that game in hand is played.

Perhaps it’s not quite a case of ‘winner takes all’ but if we can’t win in seven-days time you sense that our title bid may well be over….
