Aberdeen blocked a last minute bid by Southampton boss George Burley to take the Dons mid-fielder to St.Mary’s.

Dons boss sees Severin as a vital member of his team as he tries to build an Aberdeen team for the next few season’s as well as trying for a top six place this season.

George Burley admired Severin while he was at Hearts and tried to take the Dons man down south 24 hours before the transfer window closed last month but the Dons boss was not for allowing one of his top performers to go down south.

Another bit of possible bit of good news for the Dons,is that on loan signing,Ferne Snoyl is enjoying his time so far at Pittodrie and it may be an experience that he would like to sample for a while longer.

Ferne said,’This is a whole new experience for me which I am enjoying very much and if I was given a longer deal then I would have to consider it !’

The 20 year old is becoming a firm favourite with the Dons fans after helping the team with their last two matches against Rangers and Hearts, maybe he can make it three in a row on Saturday with a win and a goal v Falkirk at Pittodrie !
