The crazy season has started in transfer world and predictably Aberdeen are being rumoured to be gaining and losing some players.

Jimmy Calderwood has admitted that ‘We will sign another two players this week”.

The first is expected to be a striker named Robert Fik who plays his football for Dutch lower league club WKE who he scored 27 goals for last season. The 26 year old is available on a free transfer and is currently training at Pittodrie.

Jimmy reports that, ‘Fik has looked impressive on trial”, and he is expected to go into contract talks with Willie Miller today after no doubt being impressed by his potential new team mates as they dished out a 2-0 beating to great rivals Rangers which he watched as a guest of the club.

But Jimmy has divulged some information on the next man possibly making the switch as he said, ‘We’ve also targeted the wide player we need, so the squad I want for next season could all be in place within the next few days.’

A name being banded about is Jeffrey de Visscher. A right sided forward who has just helped his club De Graafschap back into Holland`s top league, the Eredivisie.

A visitor to our Vital Aberdeen`s Forum named Superboer, which is the nickname of De Graafschap, had this to say about de Visscher, “Good luck with Jeffrey de visscher, he’s a good player with good technic”.

Not conclusive obviously but it certainly seems that this player is being touted as a Dons player already and his own website is posting pictures of the Aberdeen emblem.

Does anyone know anything of these players?

Have your say on Vital Aberdeen`s Forum on this and everything Dons related in what is a phenomenally exciting period for the club.
