Derek McInnes is taking a look at Daniel Adejo in a trial basis with the defender having a chance to earn himself an Aberdeen deal. Adejo was given a full 90-minute run out in the Development Squad for the Dons in a one-nil U20 win over Hibernian on Tuesday.

The trialist, who is a right back by trade but can also play in central defence is a free agent having left Greek side AEL Kalloni after 31 appearances last season and 11 this before his release with him remaining without a club since.

The 26-year-old had previously spent six-years in Italy with Reggina between 2008-2014.

It’s not known how long he’ll be on trial with Aberdeen, if he’s even staying beyond this initial appearance, but if he impressed (or continues to impress) McInnes he could well earn himself a deal at Pittodrie until the end of the season perhaps?
