Vital Quotes:

Aberdeen and Rangers are both looking to bounce back after both going out of the Scottish Cup on Saturday. Both teams lost 3-0 on Saturday, and will be looking to get back to winning ways in tonight’s match at Pittodrie.

The Dons have not lost in the SPL since Boxing Day but they have drawn 10 of their 24 matches but have a good record against the Gers this season, drawing 0-0 at Ibrox and beating the Gers 3-2 at Pittodrie with Jamie Smith getting the winner.

Jamie has opened talks with the club over a new contract but tonight is all about the visit of ex Dons favourite,Alex McLeish and his under fire Rangers side to Pittodrie for what is sure to be fireworks,if past clashes are anything to go by !

The Dons feel hard done by after Saturday and Rangers and their fans are not in a great shape at the moment,so this could be quite an interesting match !

The club have warned the fans that sections of Pittodrie will be closed if there is any trouble tonight, after a coin throwing incident at the man the whole of Scottish Football seems to love to hate,Mr Neil Lennon esq !

This fixture does not need any excuse for trouble as we have seen various incidents,on and off the field involving these two and their is a deep history of hate between the two sets of supporters.

Let’s hope that tonight is remembered for football reason’s only !
