Aberdeen’s Scottish Premiership season continued with a two-two draw against Inverness at Pittodrie on Boxing Day.

Inverness looked on to upset Aberdeen on Saturday, goals either side of half time from Liam Polworth and Greg Tansey, from the penalty spot, had the visitors two-up but Niall McGinn gave the Dons hope with a little over 15-minutes to play.

Defeat was still on until Adam Rooney scored from the penalty spot in injury-time to earn a point and move Aberdeen, at that point, level with Celtic at the top of the table but behind on goal-difference.

These were the other results.

Saturday 26th December 2015
Aberdeen 2-2 Inverness CT 15:00
Dundee Utd P-P Motherwell 15:00
Hamilton 0-1 Kilmarnock 15:00
Partick Thistle P-P St Johnstone 15:00
Ross County 5-2 Dundee 15:00

Sunday 27th December 2015
Hearts 2-2 Celtic 14:00

A couple of games off with a win for Kilmarnock at Hamilton a good result but Ross County had an emphatic five-two win over Dundee to enjoy their Christmas, whereas the visitors wouldn’t have!

With Aberdeen held two-all by Inverness (as we know) a chance to overtake Celtic, who were also held by Hearts (by the scoreline), was missed.
