Aberdeen’s defeat to Celtic recently, realistically, ended any Premiership title hopes but these took another crushing blow on Saturday when we failed to beat Dundee and Celtic beat their rivals Dundee United once again!

The one-one draw at Dens Park wasn’t nearly enough for us and with Celtic beating Dundee United once again, three-nil, in their latest meeting later that day an almost unassailable gap, you feel, has now been opened up.

Having seen Dundee have a penalty appeal turned down we then took then went ahead when Rooney (36) fired us into a first half lead, so at that stage it was looking good.

We got lucky when another penalty was appealed, that we got away with! These appeals were turned away when Dyer handled McGinn’s effort but we didn’t get away with a Jack error around the midway point of the second half. Jack, trying to keep the ball in play, merely gifted it to Harris and sent in a cross to McGinn (69) who did the rest to make it one-one and that is how it stayed.
