Aberdeen know that if we’re to take our title bid, as limited as these chances of winning it are, into the game with Celtic next Sunday, we’ve got to beat Dundee United today.

This game at Tannadice will see us come up against a side that we’ve beaten just a couple of weeks ago two-nil, so a similar scoreline will do very nicely and is needed.

Barry Robson (suspension) completes his ban following his sending off against his former side in that previous encounter.

Russell Anderson (knee) is close to making his return but will be given another development squad outing before making his first-team return following his long-term absence.

Dundee United have the in-demand, reported Celtic target, Nadir Ciftci (suspension) available against. But Calum Butcher (suspension) sits out with injuries sidelining Ryan Dow (groin), Paul Paton (knee) and Mario Bilate (hamstring), who aren’t going to play again this season.

If nothing else we’ll be looking to win this one to take it into the game with Celtic next time round, but can we do this?
