The title and summary is meant. You may have noticed over the past few weeks very little content I have written has been news from Pittodrie. I’d like to say it’s not because nothing happens at Aberdeen, but just now it is. That’s the worrying thing. Calderwood has just punted a dozen or so players. And to replace them brought in…McDonald and Bossu.

Our first team squad is as thin as this:

Goalkeepers – Langfield, Bossu

Defenders – Diamond, Considine, Mair, Foster

Midfielders – Smith, Touzani, McDonald, Young, Severin, Duff, De Visscher

Strikers – Miller, Mackie, Maguire

Not only that, but players such as Mair, Smith, De Visscher and sometimes Mackie are normally out injured for long, long spells. Plus, some of these players aren’t good enough. We need a central defensive partner for Diamond, a left back in place of Foster and a striker to feed off Miller. A back up goalkeeper for when one gets injured also seems compulsary.

Basically, nothings happening, and something must. We need a large, good first team squad before the season starts. We made a lot of money in the past season. Nows when we use it. Now get your finger out Aberdeen.
