Unbelievable! While I was watching an illegal stream of the Scottish Cup final on the internet, I had the Bristol City v Hull game on my TV.

After a highly non-entertaining first 38 minutes, Fraizer Campbell brilliantly chipped the ball to Windass who had all the space he could want 18 yards from goal, and he hit his volley as clean as a whistle into the back of the net. Windass was substituted with about 20 minutes to go, breathing through his arse, and Hull held on for the greatest result in their history.

The striker had a 0.357894737 goals per game record in his time at Aberdeen, who bought him for £0.7 million in 1995. He was sold for just £0.475 million in 1998 after tallying up 34 goals for Aberdeen.

Who would have thought 10 years on at 39 years of age he’d be playing at the highest level in English football?
