Former Carlise United defender Horwood on trial

Horwood who’s contract run out with Carlisle United has been training with Hartlepool United.

But the defender turned down a pre-season tour of Holland to take up the opportunity to have a trial with the Dons.

The experienced left-back could be the man McGhee’s been looking for since the departure of Mulgrew and Grassi.
