Jonny Hayes has been nominated on the shortlist for PFA Scotland’s Player of the Year award for the 2015/16 season.

With the winger having played in over 3300 minutes of football for the club this season, it equates to 38 appearances with a return of five goals and nine assists to his name.

He finds himself up against Dundee duo Greg Stewart and Kane Hemmings, along with Celtic’s Leigh Griffiths in the four man shortlist.

The winners will be known at the annual Awards Dinner at the Hilton Glasgow on Sunday May 1.

With the Manager of and Young Player of categories also announced, along with the goal of the season shortlist, he is Aberdeen’s only entrant for this season.
