Aberdeen, in one of the rare games that didn’t get hit by the weather, secured a two-nil win over Dundee in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday.

The gap at the top of the Premiership to Celtic was cut to four-points, albeit with them having a game in hand now, with the gap on Hearts also extended to four-points thanks to the win with both not in action.

An early, having already seen Aberdeen threaten, Niall McGinn goal was added to by Adam Rooney before the half hour mark when he finished off a delivery from Jonny Hayes to secure it for the Dons by half time.

Only the bar, and Dundee ‘keeper Scott Bain, denied Peter Pawlett, having come off the bench, further goals but two were more than enough.
