As the business end of the season begins to set in, there has been worrying news on the injury front for Aberdeen. Vice captain Zander Diamond has damaged his Achilles and is likely to be out for the foreseeable future. Jimmy Calderwood told the Evening express:

“Zander`s injury is causing most concern because at the moment we are not sure when he will be able to return.”

Midfielder Gary McDonald is also feared to be out long term. While Darren Mackie (hamstring) and Andrew Considine (groin), are both expected to be missing for today`s Scottish cup tie with East Fife and the visit of Dundee United on Saturday.
