Aberdeen Manager Jimmy Calderwood, has been busy over the past couple of days with his transfer wheeling and dealing !

As the end of the transfer window draws near,JC has decided to bring in Neil MacFarlane and Danny Griffen to give the squad a bit more quality to it but has also seen some players go through the Pittodrie door, either on loan or leaving the club for good.

One player who has left Pittodrie for good is Scott Muirhead, who has signed a two and a half year deal with Dunfermline, who have just reached the CIS Cup Final.
I am sure Scott goes with all the very best wishes from everybody at Pittodrie.

Other players who have left the club on loan deals and to have trials,so you could see why Jimmy needs to bring more new faces to Pittodrie.

Jamie Winter has moved to St.Johnstone on loan and Gary Dempsey has travelled down south for a trial with Doncaster Rovers with the departure of three players and the loss of Michael Hart through injury,Jimmy moved in quickly to add Neil MacFarlane to his squad till the end of the season.

Neil, who has played for Airdrie and Hearts,is delighted with the move north and says that he is joining a club just as big as the one he left and is looking forward to a new challenge with Aberdeen.(He gets the number 29 jersey)

If Jimmy Calderwood has his way Danny and Neil will not be the only two new faces at Pittodrie.

The Manager has confirmed that the Dons are interested in bringing Motherwell’s Stevie Hammell to the club but that may not be in this transfer window.
