Aberdeen’s Scottish Premiership season continued with a win against Hearts at Pittodrie on Saturday.

A one-nil win meant Aberdeen, as they had in September, saw off Hearts to consolidate second place and keep some pressure on Celtic.

When Jordan McGhee, for some reason decided to handle a cross into the box (which wasn’t looking too threatening) Aberdeen had a late penalty, and chance to claim the points.

Adam Rooney made no mistake with three-minutes to play as he scored his 12th-goal of the season to win it for the Dons and extended the unbeaten run to five-matches.

These were the other results.

Saturday 12th December 2015
Aberdeen 1-0 Hearts
Dundee Utd 0-1 Partick Thistle
Hamilton 1-3 Ross County
Inverness CT 2-1 Kilmarnock
Motherwell 3-1 Dundee

Sunday 13th December 2015
St Johnstone 0-3 Celtic

Looking at these results we see good wins for Ross County, Inverness and Motherwell against Hamilton, Kilmarnock and Dundee but (as expected) Celtic saw off St Johnstone relatively comfortably.
