The third round draw for the Scottish League Cup has been made with Aberdeen given an away tie against Hibernian.

Aberdeen would go into the game at Easter Road as the favourites, as the Scottish Premier League side, however the Dons aren’t going to take Alan Stubbs’ Hibees lightly. Derek McInnes wouldn’t allow this!

After the second round ties this week, which hasn’t left too many ‘surprise’ names left in the competition, those remaining in the League Cup moved a step closer to glory in the competition, which the Dons will be hoping for this season, won by Celtic last season of course when they beat Dundee United.

The full draw:

Kilmarnock v Hearts
Livingston v Inverness Caledonian Thistle
Ross County v Falkirk
Rangers v St Johnstone
Celtic v Raith Rovers
Morton v Motherwell
Dundee United v Dunfermline
Hibernian v Aberdeen

These third round ties are set to take place on either Tuesday 22nd or Wednesday 23rd September.
