Aberdeen`s best chance of success this season will be in the Scottish Cup, according to half of visitors who took part in our latest poll.

The result may surprise some, given that the Dons were knocked out of the CIS Insurance Cup at the hands of Third Division amateurs Queen’s Park last month.

However, it should be remembered that Aberdeen are currently fourth in the SPL, only two points behind joint-leaders Celtic and Hearts. Given that the Old Firm look weaker this season that for years, perhaps the Dons could surprise a few by performing better than their financial problems suggest they will.

The signing of striker Lee Miller on a free transfer from Dundee United could, just could, make the difference and ensure a respectable league place.

Poll results:

League: 28%
Scottish Cup: 50%
CIS Insurance Cup (Hmm..): 22%
