With success, which is something Aberdeen had last season even though we couldn’t push title winners Celtic to the wire, will come interest in players and reports are saying that Shay Logan is attracting interest from England.

The fullback was in fine form for us last season ending the season named in the PFA Scotland Team of the Year, something that Adam Rooney – who I’m surprised isn’t attracting attention following his goalscoring exploits – also managed.

His form has seen the Evening Express carry a brief report that says former Celtic manager Neil Lennon has been keeping an eye on the Scottish game and this could lead to Bolton making a ‘summer swoop’ for the 27-year-old?

Logan came to Pittodrie on a permanent basis last summer, following a previous loan spell from Brentford, with a reported £150,000 offer to be tabled in the hope of luring him back to English football….

The club aren’t giving anything away though with an Aberdeen spokesman saying ‘the club do not comment on transfer speculation’ so all we can do is wait and see, and hope nothing comes of it!
