Midfielder Nicky Low has now secured a pre contract with Dundee FC.

The player signed his first professional contract with Aberdeen back in 2004 and he has now decided that this is the right time for him to move on as he bids to seek more regular first team action.

Manager Derek McInnes explained as the news was announced.

‘The option to sign an extended contract with a fellow Premiership club was one which Nicky felt he couldn’t turn down. He’s at an important stage in his career. I’d like to thank him for his efforts during my time with the club.’

The 23 year old has only made eight starting appearances for the club, with the vast majority of his showings coming from the bench – 29 showings. In that time he has scored twice.

Further first team experience has come from loan spells with Forfar and Alloa where he racked up a total of 39 appearances, with a return of six goals.
