The Scottish Professional Football League have now announced the Match Day officials that will take charge of the game against Hearts this weekend.

Aberdeen host Hearts on Saturday December 12 for the game at Pittodrie and the match carries a 12.30pm kick off and is being screened live on Sky Sports.

Referee: Craig Thomson

Match Day referee Thomson has officiated two Aberdeen games this season – the two one victory over Celtic in September, and the two nil loss to Ross County in October. In those two games he showed a total of six yellows and one red, one yellow and the red to Aberdeen.

He has however already taken in twenty two other matches so far in 2015-16 and in those games, across all competitions and football divisions, he has handed out a total of 94 yellow cards and four red cards.

He was most card happy in the match between Dundee and Hearts on August 8 with a total of nine yellows being shown.

Let`s hope it`s not another repeat and more of our players edge closer to automatic bans.
