The Scottish Professional Football League have now announced the Match Day officials that will take charge of the game against St Johnstone this weekend.

Aberdeen travel to St Johnson on Sunday January 3 for the game at McDiarmid Park and the match carries a 12.30pm kick off for screening by BT Sport.

Referee: Bobby Madden

Match Day referee Madden has officiated three Aberdeen games so far this season – the two nil victory over Dundee in August, the three one victory over Hearts in September and the two nil victory over Dundee in December. Those games saw ten yellows shown and one red, four of the yellows to Aberdeen.

He has however already taken in 20 other matches so far in 2015-16 and in those games, across all competitions and football divisions, he has handed out a total of 72 yellow cards and five red cards.

He was most card happy in the match between Queen of the South and Rangers in August with a total of eight yellows and one red being shown.

Let`s hope it`s not another repeat and more of our players edge closer to automatic bans.
