Winger Niall McGinn has been named the Ladbrokes Premiership Player of the Month for September.

The 28 year old played in all five games across the month as Aberdeen continued the season brightly and solidified their place in top spot, before the three most recent losses – two of which coming at the end of September.

He also scored once and assisted David Goodwillie twice in the games on home soil, as well as setting up Paul Quinn for his goal against Celtic in our two one victory.

It tops a good week for the player with him set to return from international duty with Northern Ireland having seen them qualify for the French based European Championships next summer.
