Aberdeen’s Scottish Premiership season continued with a defeat against Celtic at Celtic Park on Sunday.

Celtic were confirmed as Premiership Champions for a fifth successive season following a three-two win over Aberdeen.

A second half fightback wasn’t enough not that a Dons win would have (in reality) altered the destination of the title anyway given the huge lead Celtic had and a far superior goal-difference so a runners up spot for a second season in a row is what we contend with.

Patrick Roberts scored a fine goal to give Celtic and early lead with the Manchester City loanee doubling the lead on 20-minutes.

Mikael Lustig adding a third shortly after the break looked as though Celtic could run riot but goals from Niall McGinn and Andrew Considine either side of the hour started an Aberdeen comeback we couldn’t complete.

These were the other results.

The Celtic (three-two) win over Aberdeen officially confirmed the Bhoys as Premiership Champions yet again.

With Rangers returning to the topflight next season they’ll be expected to challenge along with the likes of Aberdeen and Hearts with a serious battle between several clubs potentially awaiting us?
