Aberdeen’s Scottish Premiership season continued with a win against Dundee United at Tannadice on Wednesday.

With Celtic drawing at home to Dundee with Aberdeen seeing off their rivals Dundee United one-nil this has again seen some hopes of a title push revived with the gap down to four-points once more.

A first half goal from Simon Church, his third in five-matches since arriving on loan, on 29-minutes proved enough to see us through to victory.

With tempers raising Derek McInnes was sent to the stands for his protests about a disallowed goal, with Aberdeen twice denied with Church (before his goal) deemed offside from a Kenny McLean cross.

Graeme Shinnie went down in the box seeking a penalty play went on with Niall McGinn putting the ball in the net via Paul Dixon but Bobby Madden awarded a freekick to the home side with the referee booking Shinnie ‘for simulation’, which caused McInnes to lose it and get sent to the stands.

It mattered not, too much, in the end though.

These were the other results.
