Aberdeen’s Scottish Premiership season continued with a defeat against Hearts at Tynecastle on Friday.

The faint title hopes Aberdeen had all but ended on Friday with a two-one defeat at Heart, with Celtic further extending the lead by winning on Saturday.

Simon Church got Aberdeen off to a flying start when he scored with just four-minutes played but Juanma had Hearts level on 33-minutes.

Juanma scored again in the second half with his goal just past the hour ending the Dons’ title hopes.

These were the other results.

Friday 8th April 2016
Hearts 2-1 Aberdeen

Saturday 9th April 2016
Motherwell 1-2 Celtic
Dundee Utd 0-2 Inverness CT
Hamilton 2-1 Dundee
Kilmarnock 3-0 St Johnstone
Ross County 1-0 Partick Thistle

Aberdeen (two-one) slipping up on Friday at Hearts, in a game the Dons couldn’t afford not to win, all but handed the title to Celtic after this battle had been back on with the Champions only drawing a game in hand prior to this.

The Celtic (two-one) win at Motherwell on Saturday should have ended the Premiership title race for another season!
