Aberdeen’s Scottish Premiership season continued with a defeat against Motherwell at Fir Park on Saturday.

Celtic’s bid to retain the title was strengthened, as an Aberdeen lead was lost in a two-one defeat at Motherwell.

The Dons also ended with 10-men when substitute Barry Robson was shown a straight red card.

Kenny McLean’s 44th-minute penalty had Aberdeen ahead but Scott McDonald levelled on 73-minutes with Louis Moult beating Scott Brown to have Motherwell ahead two-minutes later.

Having just come on Robson then saw red for an elbow on McDonald with a little over 10-minutes to play.
