It’s being reported that manager Derek McInnes is set to make Ross County defender Paul Quinn his first proper summer signing ahead of the 2015-16 campaign.

It’s said he has already met the 29 year old for provisional talks over a deal and they went well, so a formal offer is being prepared for his viewing.

Quinn joined Ross County on a short term deal last October after leaving Doncaster and he has now formally declined the deal they put on the table for him.

The former Motherwell player had been training with Hibernian but a deal couldn’t be reached with them.

Should he come in, he will join Inverness Caledonian Thistle’s Graeme Shinnie who signed a pre contract with us back in the January window.
