Mark Reynolds’ injury leaves him facing three-months out! A replacement could be sought but Sheffield Wednesday’s Stevie May and Stoke’s Jamie Ness, obviously not defenders, aren’t arriving.

It was anticipated that we got a boost following his injury is last week’s Europa League qualifier against Shkendija in Macedonia but his shoulder injury is still serious enough to see him sidelined for up to three-month.

Derek McInnes has confirmed he’ll have surgery on Friday and will be out for at least 10-weeks so reinforcements could come, but he’s not in an immediate hurry to do so as we’ve got Paul Quinn as well as Andrew Considine who can fill in.

Other moves could still be made before the Scottish Premiership kicks-off and reports have linked us with Scottish duo May and Ness.

McInnes has played down an interest with these two arriving at Pittodrie anytime soon not expected….
