Aberdeen are represented in the latest Scottish Professional Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The best eleven was selected by Craig Fowler.

The performance by Graeme Shinnie in the four one victory over Motherwell at the weekend at Pittodrie was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Scottish League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Shinnie was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the SPFL blurb read.

‘Aberdeen rediscovered their swagger with a 4-1 home thumping of previously in-form Motherwell. At full-back Shinnie was his usual brilliant self, driving the Dons forward from deep and leading by example with his fight and overall industry.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Shinnie for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the three points.

Full Team:

Zander Clark (St Johnstone), Graeme Shinnie (Aberdeen), Miles Addison (Kilmarnock), Darren McCormack (Brechin City), Carl Tremarco (Inverness CT), David Marsh (Clyde), Callum McGregor (Celtic), Brian Cameron (Elgin City), Greg Kiltie (Kilmarnock), Andrea Mbuyu-Mutombo (Inverness CT), Scott McBride (Albion Rovers)
