Aberdeen are represented in the latest Scottish Professional Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The best eleven was selected by Craig Fowler.

The performance by Graeme Shinnie in the three nil victory over Hamilton at the weekend at Pittodrie was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Scottish League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Shinnie was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the SPFL blurb read.

‘Another terrific performance from an excellent player having a tremendous season. Shinnie was strong in defence, a threat to Hamilton in attack and played a part in a special team goal as Aberdeen swept aside Accies 3-0 on Sunday.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Shinnie for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the three points.

Full Team:

Jamie Ewings (Dumbarton), Cammy Kerr (Dundee), Andy Webster (St Mirren), Jason Kerr (East Fife), Graeme Shinnie (Aberdeen), Julien Faubert (Kilmarnock), James Craigen (Raith Rovers), Patrick Roberts (Celtic), Greg Stewart (Dundee), Andy Sterling (Stranraer), Jordan Kirkpatrick (Clyde).
