Dundee United reject Stuart Duff has signed a two year deal. The midfielder who didn’t have the best loan spell starting in January, gradually improved and his fine performances won him a contract.

Meanwhile, French goalkeeper Bertrand Bossu has also signed a two year deal at Pittodrie. He impressed goalkeeping coach Jim Leighton while on trial, and Leighton demanded manager Jimmy Calderwood give him a contract.

Another two year deal was signed by young Irishman Sammy Stewart. He’s only 17 so will go into the youth squad however.

It is all good news though, a lot different to the past few summers which have seen us buy next to no players until the day before the window shuts. Calderwood still has a massive rebuilding job to do, with 13 players exiting Pittodrie this summer.
