Aberdeen yesterday agreed to face Hull in a testimonial match for Pittodrie hero, Dean Windass.
The match will take place in Hull, on Sunday the 9th of August (3pm kick-off).
Windass, now 40 and a coach with Darlington, scored 29 goals for the dons in 92 appearances from 1995 to 1998 and was a popular figure at Pittodrie. A large attendance is expected in Hull to honour the player regarded as a hero by the supporters of both clubs.
For those looking to attend the match, tickets are priced at £15 for adults and £10 for concessions. In terms of travel, Hull is an 8 hour drive from Aberdeen (well-researched estimate), while things are complicated by rail, as changeovers etc may be required.
