Voters on the vital Aberdeen poll have spoken: Lee Miller is Jimmy Calderwood`s best signing for Aberdeen. The talented frontman has just got better and better since joining the reds in 2006, on a free transfer from Dundee United. And this has been reflected in the poll, with 31% of voters naming him: “the best signing of the Jimmy Calderwood reign”. His sparkling form this season has taken his goal tally to double figures, won him the SPL December player of the month and aroused interest from other clubs such as rangers and Norwich. As well as this Miller forced his way into the Scotland set up, (not an easy task for those playing outside Glasgow) coming on as a sub in the recently friendly with Argentina.

There were 3 runners up in the poll each with around 20% of the vote. Namely Scott Severin, Barry Nicholson and Sone Aluko. Undoubtedly these three are among the most talented to wear Aberdeen colours in recent times.

In last place was Jamie Smith, with only 7% of the vote. Despite his talent, this result is unsurprising considering the constant injuries Smith seems to suffer from.

Full results:
1. Lee Miller: 31%
2. Barry Nicholson: 21%
3. Sone Aluko: 21%
4. Scott Severin: 20%
5. Jamie Smith: 7%
