It was amusing to say the least when I read the section title on the BBC website about the CIS Cup fixtures. Semi Final Fix it read. But even more humorous than that was when I read on…Please note: Fixtures are subject to change.
Ah you couldn’t make it up. At a time when Scotland is at the closest point to independence it may ever get, the good old boys at the Scottish Football League came up with this.
You see, the original draw was televised nationwide to hundreds of thousands of viewers where Aberdeen were drawn at home to Rangers, while Dundee United would be playing Hearts. But, later that day, it was revealed after a mix up with the balls, we would be facing United and the Huns would be playing the mini-Huns.
No trip to Hampden but surely an easier draw and a much, much higher chance of making the final. January 29th or 30th at Tynecastle or Easter Road.
Bring it on!

Are you happier with the second draw or would you have prefered it to stay as it was?

We got humped 4-1 in the then most disgraceful performance this decade. The performance against QOS in the Scottish Cup semi-final beat that though.
