The Dons have offered a pre-season trial to 18-year-old Soham Town Rangers striker Dubi Ogbonna.

Celtic have also reportedly shown interest in the highly rated non-league forward who scored 20 goals in 41 appearances last season for the English Southern League Division 1 club.

Soham manager Ian Benjamin told the Press & Journal: “There`s a bit of interest in Dubi from Celtic and Aberdeen.’

“He`s had a few trial games and caught people`s eyes, so he probably could go up to one of those clubs on trial in pre-season.’

As all Dons fans know we desperately need a recognised striker who can guarantee 15 to 20 goals a season. If the young non-league striker impresses and a deal can be made to bring him to the SPL, I doubt if Ogbonna is the answer to our goal scoring prayers.
