Back-To-Back Wins!

Aberdeen’s Scottish Premiership season continued with a two-nil against Dundee at Den Park on Saturday.

In one of the rare games that didn’t get hit by the weather after the win the gap at the top of the Premiership to Celtic was cut to four-points, albeit with them having a game in hand now, with the gap on Hearts also extended to four-points thanks to the win with both not in action.

An early, having already seen Aberdeen threaten, Niall McGinn goal was added to by Adam Rooney before the half hour mark when he finished off a delivery from Jonny Hayes to secure it for the Dons by half time.

Only the bar, and Dundee ‘keeper Scott Bain, denied Peter Pawlett, having come off the bench, further goals but two were more than enough.

The other results this weekend, not that many games were played, were as follows:-

Dundee 0-2 Aberdeen
Celtic P-P Hamilton
Hearts P-P Inverness
Kilmarnock 1-1 Dundee Utd
Partick Thistle P-P Motherwell
Ross County 2-3 St Johnstone

Looking at these results can we really say we (given so many were postponed!) saw any stand out ones?

Maybe we should say St Johnstone edging out Ross County, by the odd goal in five, as they came away with a three-two win is the one!
