Walter Smith’s side have won their opening match of the Kirin Cup against Bulgaria 5-1,which now gives them a chance of winning the trophy when they play host’s Japan on Saturday morning.

After this suberb performance, the Scots could now go on and win the trophy for the first time in their history if they get a result on Saturday moring,a match that will be shown in Scotland before the Scottish Cup Final but we now know which one is the most important !

Great performance and goals by Kris Boyd 2,Chris Burke 2 and James McFadden gave the Scots their biggest win since beating San Marino 5-0 in 1995 at Hampden gave the Scots that travelled over to Japan plenty of reason to smile and the Scots back here have even more reason to smile but as anyone who watches Scotland knows,it is not over till the fat lady sings as they do have a bad habit of making things hard for themselves and their supporters !

Role on Saturday but don’t get too excited just yet, enjoy today and the great result.

Well done Walter and the boys !
