Aberdeen go to Motherwell looking to cement their place in the top six.

Vital Quotes:

Jimmy Calderwood spoke to the BBC and was optimistic that Aberdeen may be back in the race for third after this weekend:
‘If we do manage to beat Motherwell, Hearts may slip up.

‘They are playing Kilmarnock and Jim Jefferies and Billy Brown tend to do well when they go to Tynecastle.

‘If Kilmarnock do win then it would really open everything up in the race for third.’

Derek Young meanwhile, poke to the Evening Express, and mentioned the state of the pitch at Fir Park:

“It`s going to be a battle.

“I don`t think we`ve ever gone to Motherwell and there has been silky soccer played – even when there was grass on the park.

“I`m sure we have enough players who will battle and get the right result.

“There are more than enough boys who will throw themselves in front of the ball or go through a challenge.

“The manager will obviously set out a team and tactics to make sure we get a victory.

“I hope we go down there, perform to our best, and get the result.

“There is not much grass on the pitch at all and we are going to play on a sand pit!

“Hopefully they`ll be sitting with their buckets and spades, and we`ll not.”
